The Farm Journal Customer Support Center, located in Webster City, Iowa is home to nearly 50 Farm Journal employees. The center is a state of the art telephone marketing facility which is responsible for updating Farm Journal’s database of agricultural producers.
The center operates 36 toll free phone stations which are available for inbound and outbound use and operates five days per week from 8 am to 9 pm CST. It is maintained by trained operators and supervisors - many with farm backgrounds. There is also a call monitoring/recording system in place.
The typical day in Webster City sees approximately 2,000 active records updated. While on average, 140+ producer updates are entered into our system each hour via direct contact. Once entered into the system, there is a live flow of data from the Farm Journal Customer Support Center into the Farm Journal Subscriber database.
The Farm Journal Customer Support Center is a unique resource in the middle of farm country. It remains the only dedicated agricultural data center in the industry and has been in continuous operation since the 1960’s and boasts a 97% cooperation record.
